A Weekend Away at Northwick Farm Lodges

It’s been a little while now since we went for our weekend away. My husband surprised us with a little getaway for my birthday back in July. We had such a lovely weekend staying at Northwick Farm Lodges in Broadway. You might’ve seen it on my instagram page and it ticked another thing off our bucket list too!

t’s been a little while now since we went for our weekend away. My husband surprised us with a little getaway for my birthday back in July. We had such a lovely weekend staying at Northwick Farm Lodges in Broadway. You might’ve seen it on my instagram page and it ticked another thing off our bucket list too!

Northwick Farm Lodges are situated in Broadway, near Evesham. Not only do they have 5 stunning wooden cabins, Northwick Farm Lodges also has a sizeable area for camping too – be sure to check it out here!

The cabin itself was super spacious, considering the look on the outside – Doctor Who lovers, think of the Tardis haha. Each one has a fair sized dining area, a compact but very well equipped kitchen, a bathroom and 2 double bedrooms.

Our bedroom had a really cosy double bed, a set of bedside draws each and just the right amount of hanging space on the wall. The girls’ bedroom had 2 single beds, equally as comfortable as the double! Each of the rooms also had wall heaters and secret heaters in the artwork on the walls.

Staying close to home, but somewhere we hadn’t been before meant we could go on our own little adventures. No wi-fi gave us some great social-media free time and we also took the chance to visit All Things Wild Nature Centre.

The girls enjoyed the break and so did we! On the last evening, we made a quick and easy Sunday dinner, after we popped to Morrisons, followed by birthday cake. This ended the weekend away nicely, before we decided to play hide and seek around the outside of the cabin and watch the sunset.

I failed to mention that we were actually right next to the GWSR train line too! As a little girl I remember going on the steam railway, so watching the train go past was lovely a bit of nostalgia.

We had the best time away and it was the perfect way to spend my 28th birthday weekend.
Check out my 28 before 28 post to see what I managed to achieve before turning 28, too!
