1. DO YOU HAVE ANY NICKNAMES?
My nickname is Kat. I spent all of my teenage years only being known as “Kat” and this has carried on being my nickname into my adulthood. Now, I pretty much go by both Kat and Katherine – it all depends on who wants to call me which name – since becoming an “adult”, I’ve started to prefer Katherine though.
2. ARE YOU NAMED AFTER ANYONE?
Nope, I don’t think so anyway.
3. DO YOU HAVE ANY SIBLINGS?
Yes, I have an older brother. He lives in San Francisco though, so we’re limited to his visits to the UK to really catch up with each other.
4. WHERE DID YOU GROW UP?
I grew up and lived in Shirley, Solihull until moving slightly further afield last year.
5. WHAT ACTIVITIES DID YOU DO IN SCHOOL?
Let’s be honest, anyone who knows me who’s reading this will know that I didn’t exactly go to school during secondary school. It’s not something I want to go into right now, but the activities I remember being involved in the school newspaper during the beginning of secondary school.
6. WHERE DID YOU GO TO UNIVERSITY?
I didn’t go to university, but I did attend Solihull College.

9. WHAT WAS YOUR FIRST JOB OUT OF UNIVERSITY?
After I finished college, I started working part-time as an office cleaner. I then went on to cleaning hotel rooms and then left to work in a shop. I worked there for about 2 years before hubby and I moved in together and we found out we were expecting!
10. WHAT KIND OF MUSIC DO YOU LIKE?
I enjoy every music genre – honestly! My usual go-to music though has to be alternative/emo music, think Fall Out Boy, Panic! at the Disco, All American Rejects.. yes really!
11. WHAT’S ONE HOBBY THAT YOU’D LIKE TO TAKE UP?
I’d love to be able to dedicate more time into working on my digital art skills, I do find I don’t really have time to make it a proper hobby at the moment though!
12. WHAT DID YOU THINK YOU WANTED TO BE WHEN YOU GREW UP?
I remember when I was little, I wanted to be a nurse. My dad said I always used to say I wanted to be a mummy when I grew up though!
13. WHAT’S THE BIGGEST PROJECT ON YOUR TO-DO LIST?
The biggest project on my to-do list right now is my husband and I’s gaming blog! As we’re both into our games, I suggested setting up a blog to see where it goes.
14. DO YOU HAVE ANY IRRATIONAL FEARS?
I often have very vivid dreams of my family getting lost or leaving me. I guess my biggest fear is losing my loved ones.
15. HAVE YOU EVER TRAVELLED OUTSIDE THE COUNTRY? IF SO, WHERE?
Yes! Nowhere really luxurious or extravagant though – I’d been to Spain as a child and hubby and I went last year. We also visited my brother in San Francisco pre-children. It had always been a dream of mine to visit America, so to actually go and stay with my brother made it even more amazing for me.
16. WHEN’S YOUR NEXT VACATION AND WHERE ARE YOU GOING?
Our next stay-cation is to a small village only half an hour away from home for my birthday. We’re just having a few days away with the girls to switch off and explore. Hubby and I are also looking into going a couple of places later in the year too, with and without the girls.

20. IF YOU WEREN’T IN YOUR CURRENT JOB, WHAT WOULD YOU WANT TO BE DOING?
If I didn’t work from home writing, I think I’d probably just be working in a supermarket still. I actually enjoyed working at the supermarket I was last at, so I wouldn’t mind it!
