I’m a forever fan of Simple Skincare products. I’ve been using them for over 10 years now, that makes me feel a tad older than I feel – haha!
My absolute go-to products are their exfoliating facial scrub and their exfoliating face wash (not pictured as I ran out!). Both of these are from their Kind to Skin Oil Balancing range, which honestly works wonders are controlling my shiny face all year round! They’re both super simple to use too (no pun intended – haha). When I’m in the shower, I use the facial scrub first. Taking around a 5p size amount, I gently work it into my face using circular motions, making sure to target the areas that are likely to get oily, but also concentrating on places I get blackhead/breakouts as I find it does help to prevent them! I rinse it off and towards the end of my shower, I use the face wash. I take a 5p amount again and do the same, but not focusing on any part in particular.
I also find their cleansing face wipes come in quite handy on days when I’m in too much of a rush to get out the door and need something quick before I meet the outside world! I have tried their oil balancing face wipes in the past, but I find they’re a little to dry for my usually-oily skin since keeping up with using their face wash and scrub for years. In summer months I 100% find the best thing for my face is their protecting moisture cream. Not only is is really moisturising and lovely on your skin, it has SPF30, so it protects your skin too. During the winter, I reach for hydrating moisturiser if my face gets a little dry, but it’s rare that I need it. It’s not photographed because it’s not winter yet!
On the very rare occasions that I wear mascara, I like to use the revitalising eye roll-on first, I find it really helps to to brighten my under-eyes and help cure any visible signs of being tired. When it comes to removing my mascara, I use the eye make-up remover, it works an absolute treat for removing waterproof mascara, I can’t rave about it enough!
I have recently also picked up the foaming cleanser to try, I’ll be sure to let you know what it’s like! It’s only as I type this that I realised how many Simple products I have and how many years I’ve used them for – haha!
What are your go-to skincare products? Do you stick to one brand?
